SCHOOL UPDATE- 5/28/24
Temple ISD Family -
We have completed our initial facilities assessment and several buildings have sustained storm-related damage to include electrical, HVAC equipment and water damage due to leaks that will take time to fully restore. This presents a challenge as we try to plan to wrap up the school year with more forecasted rain for the remainder of the week. However, our staff in conjunction with Oncor and the City of Temple have worked around the clock to ensure that staff and students can safely return to finish the school year and satisfy all attendance, academic credit, and graduation requirements with some schedule modifications.
Seniors have satisfied their attendance requirements for the year and graduation will proceed as planned on Saturday, June 1.
For all other students in grades PK - 11, we will move forward with the following modified scheduled:
Wednesday, May 29 classes will resume for students in grades PK – 11
• PK 7:10 am – 1:00 PM (last day of school)
• Elementary 7:55 am – 1:30 pm (last day of
school)
• Middle School 8:25 am – 2:00 pm (last
day of school)
• Edwards & Wheatley 7:55 am – 1:30 pm
(last day of school)
• THS (grades 9-11) 7:30 am – 3:10 pm – full-
day for exams
• Staff – normal workday
Thursday, May 30 will be a full day for THS students in grades 9-11 to finish exams and credit requirements
• THS (grades 9-11) 7:30 am – 3:10 pm – full-
day for exams

We thank you for your continued support and patience as we work through these final days of the school year. Please continue to take care of your families, friends, and neighbors.
