Students can see the top 10 books read and new arrivals highlighted, search the library collection, browse the scrolling carousel of bookshelves, view book covers, and link to title details.  Students can also explore suggestions based  on their interests through the “You May Also Like” automatic suggestions. Student can search by author, subject, or series.

Click on the MackinVIA link below to browse our eBook collection. When logging into the site, enter Raye-Allen Elementary for the school name and your regular computer username and the password is kids.

CULTUREGRAMS

The CultureGrams Online Database provides anytime access to the World, Kids, States, and Provinces editions, photo and slideshow galleries, videos, interviews, recipes, famous people biographies, and graphs and tables.  Log in with the user name "tisd" and the district's login password.  If you need that password, please contact the Help Desk at 215-6883 or [email protected].

 

ENCYCLOPEDIA BRITANNICA ONLINE

All students can use Britannica Online School Edition for its encyclopedia, dictionary, atlas, and video resources. Encyclopedia Britannica has 3 levels: Elementary, Middle School, and High School. KIDS INFOBITS

Kid Infobits is a K-5 curriculum-related research database.  Here you will find magazines for elementary students, citation tools, text translation into 12 different languages, reference content and much, much more!

 

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC KIDS

On this site you will find the National Geographic Kids magazines from 2009-present, 200 National Geographic Kids books and 500 kid-friendly, downloadable images.  This site it great for 1st-5th grade students.

Pebble Go is a great kid friendly resource for research. There are four databases: Animals, Earth & Space, Biographies and Social Studies.
